Venelia overhangs the gulf of Lourdas along the southern coast of the island. The house lies on the eastern coast of the gulf at the level of 40 m. above the sea. The garden expands over one acre gently descending through six terraces, from the height of 43 m. to 35 m., toward the shore 200 hundred meters far from the property itself. In between a narrow strip of olive trees and the swimming pool area the neighbouring hotel, hidden from the view by the abrupt unevenness of the slope.
At the foot of the slope a tiny harbor offers to yachters the safest natural shelter of the southern coast.
